What do you do when you seem to have lost your passion, or feel that there is nothing you are passionate about?

Hi Zentiful,
I too have struggled with feeling passionless. At times I have been extremely hard on myself because of not knowing what I was passionate about. I've done a lot of work in the last year trying to uncover who I am. I must say, one of the main practices that has been helpful is that of meditation. I started out slowy doing a sitting meditation for 5 minutes per day and gradually increased it. Over the course of about 1.5 years I am now meditating over 40 minutes per day. What kind of things have you tried??

I think there is something about who you associate with. I don't really care for the leadership/lack of where I work. Somehow feel "beyond" what I am doing, that I am capable of so much more. I have been a single mother working full out for the last 7 years. Maybe I need a vacation or at the minimum, to surround myself with different people. Have you changed your direction?

I've been investing a lot of time into trying to figure out who I am, what I believe in, what I value and what experiences I wish to have.
For my entire life I have allowed myself to set goals according to other people's wishes or societal influences. What parents want, what spouse wants, what boss wants, etc. In fact, I had lost the ability to know what it is that I want. Thankfully, I've been making headway with that. Most importantly, I've learned to just try to move toward things that feel good and that feel healthy. I've found that the more time I spend doing this, the easier it has become. If you haven't done so already, I might suggest finding a meditation instructor. Meditation has been tremendously grounding.

I like your idea, thank you. I have gone back to listening to my guided mediations and practising my yoga. I am listening and standing on my head! If nothing else I will be toned and calmer! I have come to realize a lot of the angst I have been feeling and loss of direction has more to do with a toxic work environment. I have decided to be more proactive, which is a great start. I hope you have a brilliant year, thanks again.

Thank you for the reply. I have tried meditation, but it has been a couple of weeks since I have done any. Must get back at it... I don't know if it is a stage/tired/blah. I have no interest in work, though I put on the brave face. Hey, maybe I am meant to be an actress! (just kidding... well then again?)
